Job summary

Merck is seeking an Associate Director for AI Activation & Commercial Analytics within Digital Human Health to lead analytics addressing brand and marketing questions across specialty, pharma, and infectious diseases. You will work with brand, ME, and data partners to define use cases, drive adoption of AI solutions, and deliver measurable business value.

The role requires deep pharma analytics experience, leadership across cross-functional global teams, and a strong foundation in ML,

Qualifications

• 5+ years in pharmaceutical or healthcare analytics or data science.
• Proficiency in applying ML to commercial questions (targeting, segmentation, predictive modeling).
• Deep knowledge of pharma data sources (claims, CRM, sales) and the commercial model.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced analytics and data science projects addressing brand/marketing questions.
• Drive launch readiness through analytics like market sizing and HCP universe definition.
• Develop and apply ML and statistical models on pharma commercial data.
• Translate analytics into clear, decision-ready insights for leadership and teams.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to frame questions and measure impact of initiatives.
• Serve as SME on pharmaceutical data sources and their use.
• Identify AI opportunities and support targeted pilots (targeting, forecast validation).
• Bridge brand and tech teams to ensure usable, adopted solutions.
• Ensure analytics and AI governance and data privacy compliance.
