Job summary

Collin College is seeking a part-time instructor to provide American Heart Association training (BLS/ACLS/PALS) to healthcare students and professionals. You will teach in classroom and hybrid formats, ensuring correct technique, safety, and certification readiness.

Travel to multiple Collin County campuses is expected. Responsibilities include supervising skills labs, maintaining AHA standards, and coordinating with the Training Center to ensure quality instruction and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year related experience.
• Current AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS Instructor Card(s).
• Willingness to travel to Collin County Community College campuses.
• Security sensitive position; background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Train and direct students in activation of emergency response systems and assessment techniques.
• Instruct and evaluate students through skills practices for certification.
• Set up equipment for hands-on portions (manikins, masks, bag and mask, valves).
• Maintain current knowledge of AHA practices and instructor ratios.
• Prepare labs/skills sessions with materials and equipment for teaching/evaluation.
• Direct students through classroom or hybrid formats.
• Maintain infection control procedures per AHA Instructor Manual.
