Job summary

Juniper is seeking an Agronomy Technician to responsibly apply fertilization and IPM needs for landscape maintenance properties. You will diagnose turf and ornamental issues, apply pesticides and fertilizers, and maintain accurate records while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires outdoors work in varying temperatures, strong communication, and the ability to build rapport with customers. Juniper offers growth opportunities and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified Pesticide applicator is required.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to clear MVR.
• BMP Best Management Practices certificate preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of pesticide, fertilizer, and herbicide products and calibration.
• Knowledge of turf and ornamental issues.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with management.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and independently.
• Horticulture, landscape or agricultural experience preferred.
• Experience with operating a Z sprayer.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and treat turf and ornamental issues.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides to lawns, shrubs, and plant material per label and safety rules.
• Prepare and mix products according to label instructions and product specs.
• Ensure safe and proper operation of tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of products used.
• Complete required work order correspondence.
• Maintain rapport with customers through communication and meeting expectations.
• Use hand tools and power equipment to perform IPM duties.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
