Job summary

Jobtailor in New York is seeking an agronomy intern to support crop scouting, soil sampling, and field agronomic problem solving. You will help design and monitor farm trials, assist with over-the-counter sales, and learn to deliver products to customers.

You will gain experience using Agris for invoicing and inventory management, support warehouse operations, and work with safety-compliant practices across departments.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Crop Science, or another agriculture-related degree program
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
• Agriculture experience or background knowledge helpful
• Previous internship experience helpful
• Must work in compliance with state, local, and CHS Environmental and Safety policy
• Custom application if qualified and/or if the need arises

Responsibilities

• Assist Agronomy Sales Representative with crop scouting, soil sampling, and field agronomic problem solving
• Design, monitor, and summarize farm trials for customers and the agronomy team
• Use integrated pest management techniques to determine treatment thresholds
• Generate written reports and present them to a supervisor and/or customer
• Learn agronomy products and services and assist with over-the-counter sales
• Assist with product delivery to customers

• Assist with inventory management procedures
• Learn to maintain equipment and facilities
