Job summary

Norder Supply, Inc. invites you to join the Spring/Summer 2027 Agronomy Sales Intern program, working closely with our Agronomy Sales Specialist to gain hands-on experience in agronomy sales and field work.

You will participate in field visits, crop scouting, and customer relations, receive mentorship, and complete a practical project highlighting product performance and recommendations for seed, crop protection, and crop nutrients.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in business, agriculture science, or related field.
• Strong interest in agronomy sales and crop management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work outdoors in summer weather.
• Holds a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Work and train alongside a mentor, leading you to perform regular field visits to assess crop health, growth, and potential issues. Utilize your observations to provide valuable insights and recommendations to customers.
• Over the course of the summer, you will perform and become proficient in crop scouting, including stand counts, weed/disease/insect identification, irrigation scheduling, and soil/plant tissue sampling.
• Collaborate with the sales team to build and maintain relationships with existing customers.
• Learn how to identify and meet customer needs effectively.
• Assemble and install seed plot and field signs.
• Support the Agronomy Operations team as needed.
• Attend training events, field days, and sales meetings to enhance agronomy knowledge and skills.
• Actively seek feedback and coaching from the Agronomy Sales Specialists.
• Complete a project in order to enhance Norder Supply’s knowledge of products and their performance.

This summer internship offers students an opportunity to be an integral part of our sales team, playing a pivotal role in driving the success of our business. As an intern, you will collaborate closely with our Agronomy Sales Specialist, providing you with valuable hands‑on experience in the field of agronomy sales. Throughout this internship, you will receive dedicated mentorship, constructive feedback, and tailored coaching to enhance your skills and knowledge. You will gain an understanding of Norder Supply’s product portfolio, including seed, crop protection, and crop nutrients, and learn how to make recommendations for these products. This role will empower you to deliver on our purpose of “Assisting our Customers in Achieving Maximum Net Return per Acre”.

CriticalExperience

• Pursuing a degree in business, agriculture science, or a related field.
• Preferably possesses prior agronomic knowledge or experience in production agriculture.
