Job summary

CHS Inc. is hiring an Agronomy Sales Representative to engage with farmers and producers in Colton, SD, promoting crop protection, nutrients, seeds, and related services. You will deliver on-farm sales presentations and build lasting relationships to drive local growth.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years in sales, agronomy experience preferred, and a valid driver's license. A bachelor’s degree and MS Office skills are favored. Pre-employment screenings may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of sales, business development, or related experience.
• Agronomy sales experience preferred; outside sales experience beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in agriculture, business, or related field.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; pre-employment checks may apply.

Responsibilities

• Execute sales plans to achieve goals for products and services.
• Develop sales and marketing plans to meet business needs and grow the business.
• Collaborate with teams to heighten visibility of sales calls and improve profitability.
• Build long-term relationships with suppliers and customers for repeat business.
• Provide consultative services by combining relationships with product knowledge.
• Prepare sales presentations, contracts, bids, and proposals for successful transactions.
• Train staff and customers; cross-sell across product lines where appropriate.
• Maintain safety culture and follow all safety policies and regulations.
