Mid-Kansas-Cooperative is seeking an agronomy operations professional to oversee the location in the absence of the manager. You will lead equipment operation, soil testing, and agronomy services while driving sales and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

You will train staff, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and credit policies, delivering reliable agronomy support to our producers.

Qualifications

  • Experience in agronomy operations management or supervision.
  • Ability to sell plant nutrients, crop protection, and seed products.
  • Strong knowledge of soil testing, crop scouting, and agronomy services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage agronomy operation in the absence of the manager.
  • Train employees on agronomy equipment and maintenance.
  • Operate spray/spreader equipment or tender trucks as needed.
  • Increase market share through sales and customer growth.
  • Plan sales goals and marketing strategies.
  • Provide soil testing, crop scouting, weed and insect identification services.
  • Recommend products using best management practices.
  • Maintain delivery schedules and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep informed on government regulations affecting the role.
  • Control inventory of seeds, chemicals, and fertilizer.
  • Collaborate with Field Marketer for locations.
  • Write agronomy service orders and bill deliveries timely.
  • Complete reports required by manager.
  • Enforce Mid Kansas Coop credit policy and cash handling.
  • Promote a positive team image and comply with safety policies.
  • Attend product updates and training classes.
