Job summary

Country Visions Cooperative in Chilton, WI is hiring a full-time Agronomy Mechanic-Applicator/Driver for our Chilton location. The role adapts to seasonal needs, maintaining agricultural application equipment and supporting related farm operations.

Qualified candidates have at least 2 years of mechanic experience, a clean driving record, and a Wisconsin pesticide license or the ability to obtain one. CDL training reimbursement is available.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of prior mechanic experience.
• Valid Class A CDL is preferred but not required; CDL schooling reimbursement offered.
• Possess a Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Operators license or ability to obtain one.
• Clean driving record is required.
• Conscientious attitude and attention to detail are essential for success.
• Thorough knowledge of agronomic crop production practices.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Adapt to interruption and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance of agricultural application equipment (CASE, RBR, RoGator, JohnDeere).
• Maintenance of semi-tractors, trailers, trucks, and fertilizer equipment.
• Support facility maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment as needed.
• Operate self-propelled applicator equipment and manage field computers for timely fertilizer/chemical applications.
• Deliver products to farms and travel between CV locations as required.

Country Visions Cooperative is looking to hire a full-time Agronomy Mechanic- Applicator/ Driver for our Chilton, WI location.

AGRONOMY MECHANIC - JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance of agricultural application equipment (CASE, RBR, RoGator, JohnDeere), semi-tractors trailers, dry & liquid straight trucks, pickup trucks, liquid fertilizer nurse tanks, and dry fertilizer spreaders
• Facility maintenance and repair of buildings and operational equipment will be necessary at times

APPLICATOR – JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Trained and mentored to use self-propelled equipment to make fertilizer and/or chemical applications to crops in farm fields during the growing season (Typically middle of April through the beginning of July)
• Operate machines, field computers and electronic dispatching to ensure customer satisfaction of timely and accurate fertilizer and chemical applications
• Use of provided computer software for field mapping, crop planning and record keeping of customer operations
• Understand the products utilized and the reasons for them being applied
• Make deliveries to farms of liquid and dry fertilizers or other products with a pickup, straight and semi-trucks as necessary
• Travel between Country Visions Cooperative locations and customer operations will be required
• Work with other Country Vision Cooperative employees on a daily basis
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

HOURS

• Typical work week is Monday through Friday
• Saturday and some Sunday hours expected during May and June (Spring Season)
• Some unpredictable and extended work hours including seasonally extended hours will occur

Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years of prior mechanic experience
• Valid Class A CDL is preferred but not required. If you do not have your CDL and would like to obtain it, Country Visions Cooperative offers 100% reimbursement for CDL schooling
• Possess a Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Operators license or ability to obtain one
