Job summary

United Cooperative's Genoa City Agronomy location is seeking a Custom Applicator/CDL Driver to support day-to-day operations, including crop protection product mixing and CDL-driven deliveries. You will assist in loading, unloading, maintenance, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include supporting sales with accurate orders, operating forklifts, and representing the cooperative professionally during busy seasons.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
  • CDL license (preferred) or ability to obtain one.
  • Must meet DOT and company requirements.
  • Applicator’s license (preferred) or willingness to obtain.$

Responsibilities

  • Mix, loads, and applicates crop protection products/plant nutrition.
  • Operate CDL-driven delivery and loading equipment.
  • Assist sales staff to ensure orders are accurate and meet patron needs.
  • Perform warehouse tasks including loading, driving loader, forklift, and equipment maintenance.
  • Deliver product to customers as needed and maintain safety standards.
  • Report unsafe equipment or conditions to management; participate in safety trainings.
  • Maintain clean work areas and follow safety protocols; wear appropriate PPE.
  • Represent United Cooperative professionally, supporting customer-focused service during busy seasons.

Job Location: Genoa City Agronomy - Genoa City, WI 53128

Position Summary

The Custom Applicator/CDL Driver will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Agronomy location. Performs custom application, CDL driving, and other functions that may include maintenance of equipment, plant, rolling stock, operation of forklifts, loaders, operation of tender trucks, filling NH3 tanks, loading customers’ vehicles with product, unloading of deliveries and other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Mix, loads, and applicates crop protection products/plant nutrition.
  • Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist the sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and patron needs are met.
  • Perform warehouse work including driving loader, forklift, mechanics, and maintenance.
  • Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
  • Performs minor repairs and reports larger equipment problems to manager or mechanic.
  • Reports any unsafe equipment or working conditions to management.
  • Maintains a safe working area and keeps walkways clean of slip or trip hazards.
  • Performs housekeeping activities as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned my management.
  • Accepts and offers feedback and suggestions openly and respectfully.
  • Maintains open communication with management and coworkers.
  • Identifies and utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment while completing maintenance and repairs.
  • Follow all legal regulations and guidelines to maintain a commercial driver’s license.
  • Attend safety and job-related trainings as they become available.
  • Represent yourself and United Cooperative professionally at all times in action and appearance – positively enriching the culture of United Cooperative.
  • Promotes a customer-focused environment by providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service to coworkers and producers.
  • Works extended hours as requested by supervisor to ensure customer needs are met during busy seasons.
QualificationsQualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • CDL or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must meet DOT and company requirements.
  • Applicator’s license (preferred).
  • Previous application experience (preferred).
Training provided
  • Crop protection product mixing.
  • Operation of application equipment.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Must have the ability to lift/carry up to 75lbs.
  • Employee is required to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • Must have the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distant, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
