Responsibilities

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance of agricultural application equipment (CASE, RBR, RoGator, JohnDeere).
• Facility maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment as needed.
• Train and mentor to use self-propelled equipment for fertilizer/chemical applications.
• Operate machines, field computers and dispatching to ensure timely applications.
• Use software for field mapping, crop planning, and record-keeping.
• Understand products used and reasons for application.
• Deliver liquid and dry fertilizers or other products by various trucks.
• Travel between Country Visions Cooperative locations as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues daily; extra hours during peak seasons.
• Communicate effectively with agronomists and team members.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Agronomy Mechanic / Applicator (CDL Driver) Full-Time

Country Visions Cooperative is looking to hire a full-time Agronomy Mechanic- Applicator/ Driver for our Malone, WI location.

The responsibilities of this role will change throughout the year, depending on the seasonal needs – see job descriptions below.

• Competitive pay: a base of $21.00 up to $30.00+ per hour. Base pay and step increases are dependent upon having a valid WI Custom Applicator license, a valid Class A CDL, a CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) certification, and prior experience

AGRONOMY MECHANIC - JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Mechanical and electrical maintenance of agricultural application equipment (CASE, RBR, RoGator, JohnDeere), semi-tractors trailers, dry & liquid straight trucks, pickup trucks, liquid fertilizer nurse tanks, and dry fertilizer spreaders
• Facility maintenance and repair of buildings and operational equipment will be necessary at times
• Trained and mentored to use self-propelled equipment to make fertilizer and/or chemical applications to crops in farm fields during the growing season (Typically middle of April through the beginning of July)
• Operate machines, field computers and electronic dispatching to ensure customer satisfaction of timely and accurate fertilizer and chemical applications
• Use of provided computer software for field mapping, crop planning and record keeping of customer operations
• Understand the products utilized and the reasons for them being applied
• Make deliveries to farms of liquid and dry fertilizers or other products with a pickup, straight and semi-trucks as necessary
• Travel between Country Visions Cooperative locations and customer operations will be required
• Work with other Country Vision Cooperative employees on a daily basis
• Additional hours worked during peak seasons is expected
• Communicate effectively with agronomists and other team members
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

HOURS

• Typical work week is Monday through Friday
• Saturday and some Sunday hours expected during May and June (Spring Season)
• Some unpredictable and extended work hours including seasonally extended hours will occur

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years of prior mechanic experience
• Valid Class A CDL is preferred but not required. If you do not have your CDL and would like to obtain it, Country Visions Cooperative offers 100% reimbursement for CDL schooling
• Possess a Wisconsin Commercial Pesticide Operators license or ability to obtain one
• Conscientious attitude and attention to detail are essential for success
• Thorough knowledge of agronomic crop production practices
• Adapt to interruption and work in a fast-paced environment
