Job summary

Cooperative Farmers Elevator is offering an Agronomy Intern position to gain hands-on experience in agronomy sales, field scouting, and customer interactions. You will work with the Sales and Agronomy department to learn the ins and outs of the cooperative system, supporting growers and contributing to sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities include assisting agronomists with crop protection products, field scouting, inventory tasks, and collaborating with location teams.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
Basic math skills required.
Ability to work long seasonal hours and in seasonal environments.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
Detail oriented to provide accurate work.
Excellent customer service skills.
Team oriented with ability to work in a cooperative environment.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assist Agronomists with crop protection chemicals, seed, and other agronomy products or services.
Participate in field scouting and grower interactions.
Sort seed on pallets, organize inventory.
Support sales and agronomy teams with various tasks.
Contribute ideas to sustainability initiatives in agriculture.
