Job summary

Insight FS is seeking an Agronomy Operations intern to learn the foundations of agronomy functions under the direction of location management. The role trains and assists with general agronomy tasks to prepare for a future career in the industry.

Interns gain hands-on field experience, work with facility and equipment, visit locations to build professional relationships, and learn crop monitoring, nutrition, and protection product applications while understanding ordering and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a community college, technical college or university in good academic standing.
• Ability to obtain a CDL and commercial applicator’s license with required endorsements, a satisfactory driving record, and a valid medical card.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience in agronomy field and operations.
• Assist with facility and equipment maintenance and repair.
• Visit FS locations and customers building professional relationships.
• Operate field research and crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting.
• Apply crop nutrition and crop protection products.
• Gain understanding and experience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
