Top Quality Recruitment (TQR) seeks an Agriculturist to provide agronomic expertise to beet growers in North Dakota, focusing on high-quality beets and maximizing recoverable sugar per acre.

You will work outdoors, travel to farms as required, and support the adoption of new technologies. The role emphasizes safety, integrity, quality, teamwork, accountability, and strong communication with growers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in crop production or farm management is preferred.
• Knowledge of soil science, crops, fertilizers, pesticides, and irrigation.
• Familiarity with modern farming technologies and sustainable practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel to farms and work outdoors.

• Make recommendations to improve beet crop production and increase recoverable sugar per acre while minimizing costs.
• Maintain Grower Practice System for decision-making information.
• Stay updated on new research and technologies to inform growers.
• Support implementation of new technology in crop production.
• Assist growers with harvest equipment and techniques to maximize sugar recovery per acre.
• Ensure shareholder compliance with company policies.
• Supervise employees at receiving stations and ensure harvest compliance.
• Process stock transfers and coordinate with Treasury for approvals.

The Agriculturist will provide agronomic expertise to growers in the production of a high-quality beet crop and to maximize the recoverable sugar per acre.

Key Activities

• Lead and promote a positive work culture through Company Values of Safety, Integrity, Quality, Teamwork, and Accountability.
• Make recommendations to assist growers in the production of a high-quality beet crop and to increase recoverable sugar per acre while minimizing production costs.
• Maintains Grower Practice System to ensure appropriate information is available for decision-making purposes.
• Maintains current knowledge of new research and technological changes to ensure growers receive up-to-date information on sugar beets.
• Assists in the implementation of new technology in crop production.
• Assists growers with harvest equipment and improved harvest techniques to maximize sugar recovery per acre.
• Ensures Shareholder compliance with company policies and requirements.
• Provides supervision of employees at receiving stations and compliance with company policies during harvest.
• Ensures stock transfers are complete and forwards them to the Treasury department for Board approval.

Preferred Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel to farms or agricultural sites as required.

Educations & Experience

• Relevant experience in crop production, farm management, or agricultural consulting is preferred.
• Knowledge of soil science, crop diseases, fertilizers, pesticides, and irrigation methods.
• Familiarity with modern farming technologies and sustainable agricultural practices.
