Job summary

Amalgamated Sugar Company seeks an agronomic Crop Advisor to serve cooperative growers in the Nampa/Nyssa District. Travel to fields, advise on sugarbeet growth, and support high-quality yields. Reports to the District Agricultural Manager and collaborates with growers on contracts and field practices.

The role emphasizes technical agronomy, data collection via the AgriData app, and close coordination with harvesting, piling, storage, and seasonal operations across Treasure Valley counties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agronomy, Soil Science, Agriculture Business, or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Crop Consultant or Agronomist.
• Ability to follow safety policies and environmental requirements and company policies.
• Proficient with office software and enterprise systems (SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Advise growers in agronomic practices across sugarbeet growth stages.
• Visit grower fields in the Nampa/Nyssa District throughout the season.
• Supervise harvesting, piling, storage, and reload of sugarbeets in territory.
• Collect grower agronomic data via AgriData app and maintain records.
• Disseminate production statistics and discuss yield and quality improvements.
• Prepare crop yield and quality estimates and related reports.
