Job summary

American Crystal Sugar Co. seeks an Agriculturist for the Drayton District to provide agronomic guidance to growers producing a high-quality beet crop and maximize recoverable sugar per acre.

You will lead a safety-first team, maintain Grower Practice System data, assist in adopting new crop technologies, and supervise staff at harvest receiving stations while ensuring policy compliance and productive grower relations.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Agronomy, Ag Economics or related field.
• Two to three years of related experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Driver’s license required.
• CCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide agronomic guidance to growers to maximize beet quality and sugar per acre.
• Lead and promote a safe, collaborative work culture.
• Maintain Grower Practice System for decision making.
• Assist in adopting new crop production technology.
• Supervise employees at harvest receiving stations and ensure policy compliance.
• Ensure stock transfers are completed and forwarded for Board approval.
