The University of Minnesota Crookston Campus, Agriculture & Natural Resources Department, invites applications for a short-term/temporary on-campus Agriculture Mechanics teaching specialist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This part-time, regular/temporary role is located in Crookston.

Responsibilities include developing and teaching courses, advising students, providing service-related teaching duties, and engaging in professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in the teaching discipline, or Master’s Degree in another field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching discipline.
• Professional and/or teaching experience related to instructional responsibilities.
• Demonstrated self‑awareness, cultural competencies, and achievement with diverse student populations.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Eligibility to work within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach courses.
• Advise students with regard to academic concerns and school-related organizations.
• Provide service-related teaching duties.
• Participate in policy, course, and program decisions with involvement.
• Engage in continuing professional growth and stay current with the field.
• Deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate students in agriculture mechanics coursework.
• Assist in development of department goals; advise students; support research and community outreach.
• Develop and maintain strong ties to other scholars to enrich student experience and employment opportunities.
• Maintain regular office hours.
