Job summary

The University of Minnesota – Crookston Campus, in the Business Department, seeks a short-term online Health Management teaching faculty member for the 2026–2027 academic year. The appointment is contingent on enrollment and may be not taught if enrollment is low.

Responsibilities include developing and teaching courses, advising students, providing service duties, and collaborating on department goals while maintaining regular office hours and contributing to outreach and student opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in teaching discipline or Master’s Degree in another field with 18 graduate credits in teaching discipline.
• Terminal degree in the discipline or related area is preferred.
• Professional and/or teaching experience related to assigned instructional responsibilities.
• Willingness to demonstrate self-awareness, cultural competencies, and achievement with diverse student populations.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal skills; ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Eligibility to work within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach courses.
• Advise students on academic concerns and school-related organizations.
• Provide service-related teaching duties.
• Participate in decisions regarding policies, courses, and programs.
• Engage in continuing personal growth within the profession and keep current with the field.
• Deliver high-quality instruction to undergraduate students in accounting courses.
• Assist in development of department goals and objectives.
• Support research and community outreach in the discipline.
• Enrich the student experience and support student employment opportunities.
• Maintain regular office hours.

Education

Master’s Degree in teaching discipline

18 graduate credits in teaching discipline

Terminal degree in discipline or related area

Professional and/or teaching experience

Self-awareness and cultural competencies with diverse students

Excellent oral, written, interpersonal skills
