Job summary

Piedmont Technical College is seeking to build an active pool of qualified adjunct faculty for temporary, part-time positions across the Lex Walters Campus and six county centers in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick.

Opportunities may include daytime or evening classes, online instruction, and dual credit courses offered at local high schools. Applications reviewed as teaching opportunities arise.

Qualifications

• An associate or bachelor's degree in an agriculture-related discipline is required, along with two (2) years of work experience in an agriculture-related position.
• A master's degree in an agriculture-related discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in an agriculture-related position are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the Lex Walters Campus and/or at one of the college’s six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick.
• Deliver course instruction in accordance with established syllabi at various locations, utilizing instructional technology.
• Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction; follow EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the program.
• Participate in college functions and apply teaching practices that support continuous improvement of the program and college.
• Serve as a professional team member supporting the college mission and vision with high quality and service.
