Job Description:

Title: Agricultural Production and Trial Technician

Location: Fowler, IN

Duration: 0-12 months

Shift: Monday – Friday, 08:00am - 05:00pm

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $31.00 per hour on W2

Qualifications:

• Recent work experience in an agricultural or outdoor environment
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Reliable, safety-conscious, with clear and collaborative communication skills
• Able to lift 35 pounds
• Attention to detail
• Willing to learn to operate specialized small plot machinery
• PC literate; some knowledge of Microsoft Office and email preferred
• Work during the growing season is 40 hours/week, with overtime during harvest and planting seasons

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Soybean Product Development Team in planting, evaluating, and harvesting soybean trials for research and development
• Conduct field trials across the Eastern Corn Belt to evaluate soybean lines and generate data
• Participate in field maintenance, data collection, including soil and plant sampling
• Maintain equipment and facilities according to SOPs, ensuring safety and cleanliness
• Operate and maintain specialized farm equipment such as combines, tractors, sprayers, tillage, planting equipment, and UTVs
• Operate and maintain a company vehicle
• Adhere to safety programs, maintain training, and ensure compliance
