Job summary

Gowan USA seeks a Development Manager to lead US product development, field efficacy programs, and regulatory activities. You will coordinate regional and global efforts, manage budgets, and foster innovation across the U.S. portfolio.

The role requires 7+ years in agricultural product development or regulatory science, a strong regulatory background, and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills. Based in the United States with full-time, on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum a BSc in Agronomy, Agriculture, Biology or related field; MSc preferred.
• 7+ years in agricultural product development or regulatory science.
• Strong knowledge of US EPA registration processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; public speaking ability.
• Familiarity with trial design, data collection, and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development team activities, guiding priorities for development, field efficacy, and regulatory work.
• Act as a key liaison between regional and global functions for alignment.
• Identify opportunities for use of Gowan products in US states and future development.
• Support cross-functional regional teams to ensure smooth development, label expansion, and geographic expansion in the US portfolio.
• Manage preparation of common protocols and assessments for early projects against timelines.
• Oversee resistance monitoring programs to support stewardship strategy.
• Foster innovation and new product concepts for US market.
• Support patent applications with field data as required.
• Implement and track the GUSA Active Ingredient Development Expense budget with management input.
• Ensure consistent trial designs, data collection methods, and documentation.
• Provide input into the global data management strategy aligning US needs with global needs.
• Lead knowledge transfer among GUSA teams (commercial, marketing, development).
• Coordinate alignment across regions (EMEA, LATAM, Asia) for strategy consistency.
• Work with global asset teams to identify synergies for US assets.
• Develop relationships with Regulatory, Marketing, Sales, and Global R&D.
• Establish training programs for disseminating new product attributes to teams.
• Develop understanding of US market dynamics, growers, competition, and regulation.
• Support development of technical marketing materials with commercial teams.
• Engage in project planning, prioritization, and implementation for US market.
• Other duties as assigned.
