Job summary

Dacotah Bank in Webster, SD is seeking an Agricultural Loan Officer to originate, underwrite and close secured and unsecured ag loans in accordance with bank objectives and policies. You will build and maintain relationships with agricultural customers and other financial institutions.

Responsibilities include evaluating credit, coordinating appraisals, processing loan approvals within limits, and guiding customers through closing documents while monitoring loan performance and profitability for

Qualifications

• Loan experience preferred but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or related field with ag lending focus.
• Good verbal communication skills in person and over the phone.
• Analytical, organizational, time management and problem-solving ability.
• Good written communication and proofreading skills.

Responsibilities

• Originate, underwrite and close ag loans per policies.
• Screen loan applications, request references, inspections and appraisals.
• Communicate loan decisions and rationale to applicants.
• Analyze financial status and credit to determine feasibility of loans.
• Monitor loans and address delinquencies; refer to loan committee as needed.
• Close approved ag loan agreements and prepare closing documents.
