Job summary

Intertek Agricultural Services in New Orleans, LA is seeking an Agricultural Laboratory Technician I to join our Agri team. You will perform chemical and physical tests, assist with calibration and maintenance, and ensure data integrity in LIMS while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role supports a fast-paced testing environment with a Monday–Friday shift and overtime as needed. A high school diploma or GED and strong teamwork, math, and documentation skills are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and ability to multitask in high-production testing areas.
• Strong teamwork, coordination and cooperation are essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) and basic chemistry lab processes required.
• Ability to follow standard and non-standard procedures and use instrumentation.
• Comfort working with colors and exposure to chemicals and potential allergens.
• Willingness to travel as needed and lift up to 49 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical tests per industry standards (ASTM, AOAC, etc.).
• Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Record data accurately in data sheets and LIMS; maintain quality records and inventories.
• Ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements are met; participate in cross-training.
