Job summary

Intertek in New Orleans, LA is seeking an Agricultural Laboratory Technician I to support analytical testing of various products. You will work Monday–Friday, 0730–1630, with overtime as needed, and contribute to a compliant, safety-conscious lab environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to multi-task in high production testing areas.
• Excellent team communication and cooperation.
• Good math and observation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Ability to follow standard and non-standard procedures.
• Ability to use both non-complex and complex instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical tests per industry standards (ASTM, AOAC, etc.).
• Work with a dynamic team.
• Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Clean glassware and test equipment.
• Prepare reagents as needed.
• Record data on data sheets and report into LIMS.
• Maintain quality records, control charts, and lab inventory.
• Comply with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
• Participate in cross training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
