Job summary

C & B Operations is seeking a Service Technician in Mitchell, SD to diagnose, service and repair agricultural equipment at our John Deere dealership. You will join a team focused on safety, quality work, and customer service.

Ideal candidates have Diesel Technology training and experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and are willing to train on new technologies and work overtime if needed.

Qualifications

• Associates or better in Diesel Technology or related field, preferred.
• Knowledge of repair methods, materials and tools for machinery and engines.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability for critical thinking and resourcefulness; willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural farm equipment.
• Participates in training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
• Completes all job notes in conjunction with work assignments.
• Accounts for time on a digital timecard and material usage.
• Maintains up-to-date product knowledge of John Deere and competitors.
• Keeps work area neat and tools/equipment in good condition.
• Promotes and sells service work, inspections and parts to customers.
• Follows safety procedures and works in a safe manner.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
