Overview

Crops include Green/Red Romaine, Green/Red Oak, Green/Red Leaf, Mizuna, Arugula, Green/Red Chard, Tatsoi, Spinach, Kale, Culinary Herbs, Microgreens, Strawberries, Celery, and Cabbage.

Responsibilities

• Drive and control agricultural equipment to support activities such as tilling soil, planting, cultivating, harvesting crops, and irrigation.
• Operate mechanized and power‑driven equipment including tractors, planters, sprayers, cultivators, and other equipment.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems, water lines, irrigation pipes, drip tubing, and ditches.
• Manually plant, cultivate, harvest vegetables including herbs and leafy greens; use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives.
• Till soil, apply fertilizers, transplant, weed, thin, prune crops, apply pesticides, and clean, grade, sort, pack, and load harvested products.
• Assist with farm building and field maintenance, repair fences, repair or cover hoop houses, and maintain greenhouse equipment.
• Wear assigned personal protective equipment and work clothing and boots or durable footwear; report to work daily in proper attire.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions, communicate effectively to supervisors.
