Job summary

H2ajobs in Kansas seeks an Agricultural Equipment Operator to perform maintenance, operate farm trucks, and support grain handling operations. Duties include servicing machinery, changing fluids, rotating tires, cleaning grain bins, and general upkeep. Weekend/holiday work may be required.

Housing is provided, meals facilities are available, and transportation support is offered. Experience required is 3 months; a valid US driver's license must be obtained within two weeks of starting.

Job description

Duties may include: Maintain/repair machinery and equipment, i.e., change fluids in equipment, rotate tires, clean grain bins, wash vehicles, change brakes, check tire pressure, general maintenance, etc. Load/unload trucks. Drive farm trucks to haul grain. Maintain/clean shop area. Miscellaneous duties as assigned & other related Agricultural Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).

Possible weekend/holiday work.

The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.

Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range)

Meals: The employer will furnish cooking facilities, utilities, and utensils for workers to prepare their own meals in the housing provided kitchen. Included basic appliances will consist of, but is not limited to, refrigerator, stove/oven, and sink with hot and cold-water connections.All appliances included will be in good, working condition for the workers. Employer will provide transportation to grocery store at least once a week for workers who wish to shop for food.

Transport: The employer will provide or pay for charter bus services or other modes of transportation to H-2A or U.S. workers, or permit workers to select any means of transportation they choose and reimburse workers at no less than the most economical and reasonable common carrier transportation charges for the distances involved in traveling (a) to the place of employment from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer (i.e., inbound) and (b) from the pl...
