Job summary

AGI - Ag Growth International in Boone, IA is seeking a full-time Warehouse/Delivery Associate. The role involves preparing and packing shipments from warehouse or outdoor yards, delivering equipment with company truck and trailer, receiving stock, and assisting with inventory audits.

Overnight travel is rare but possible. The position requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year of forklift experience, and 1 year of equipment/trailer pulling experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum one year forklift experience
• Minimum one year equipment/trailer pulling experience
• Prior experience hauling oversize farm equipment or machinery dealership/manufacturer experience preferred
• Knowledge of DOT guidelines and how they apply to the position
• Previous small package/parcel shipping experience with UPS or FedEx will be fast-tracked
• Basic computer skills
• Strong mathematical aptitude, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication and comprehension
• Ability to interpret a pick list and accurately document order fulfillment
• Able to work efficiently and accurately at a fast pace, multitask, and prioritize duties with high attention to detail
• Mechanically inclined, with strong hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year round
• Willingness to follow directions and learn new tasks and skills

Responsibilities

• Use written pick lists to prepare and package shipments
• Prepare shipping documents and labels per the pick list and prepare shipment quotations
• Receive shipments from vendors and document incoming product
• Process incoming shipments with Inventory Support Associate and assist with audits
• Re-box/re-crate products and refurbish damaged items when possible
• Load/unload flatbed trailers of agricultural equipment
• Deliver equipment using company truck and gooseneck trailer
• Operate forklift, tractor, and company vehicles as needed
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform emergency repairs if possible
• Assist with ordering/restocking packaging and supplies
• Inform Branch Manager of status and issues
• Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work area and equipment
• Maintain acceptable safety and driving record
• Work in warehouse when not driving
• Perform additional related duties as requested
