Job summary

The First National Bank in Sioux Falls is seeking an Ag Credit Analyst to evaluate risks in agricultural loan requests and complex relationships. The role involves data gathering, financial spreads, and independent recommendations aligned with policy to mitigate exposure.

You will collaborate with loan officers and senior management, perform site inspections as needed, and prepare written reports for loan approvals and committees. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Secondary education in related field preferred.
• Three or more years of relevant work experience or a combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet accountabilities.

Responsibilities

• Spread financials and underwriting: enter customer and guarantor financial data to generate financial spreads and support underwriting.
• Assess creditworthiness: write reports with analysis of historical financials, cash flow, ratios, industry trends and risks.
• Underwrite complex loans per policy and regulatory requirements; perform related tasks (e.g., Farmer Mac or FSA).
• Monitor loans to assess risk post-booking; perform collateral inspections and covenant monitoring.
• Collaborate with loan officers and management; mentor other analysts and assist on special projects.
