Job summary

North Star Community Credit Union in Minot, ND is seeking an Agricultural Business Lender to own and grow a commercial loan book. You will originate, manage, and supervise loans while building strong relationships with agricultural clients and producers in the Grafton and Minot region.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of lending experience, deep knowledge of North Dakota agribusiness markets, and a proven ability to create tailored financing solutions.

• Expertise in North Dakota agricultural markets.
• Proven success with large-scale crop and livestock producers or complex farm financing.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to structure tailored lending solutions.
• Relationship-focused, autonomous, and leadership oriented.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate, Manage, and Supervise Loans: own the commercial loan portfolio and grow relationships.
• Business Development: expand portfolio with agricultural and commercial clients in Minot and surrounding area.
• Financial Analysis & Structuring: review financials, assess risk, structure loans.
• Portfolio Oversight & Compliance: monitor assets and ensure documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Member & Community Engagement: represent North Star in industry events and local activities.

• Business Development: Grow your portfolio by cultivating high-value agricultural and commercial clients in the Minot area
• Financial Analysis & Structuring: Review business financials, assess risk, and structure loans that maximize client success and portfolio performance
• Portfolio Oversight & Compliance: Monitor assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation
• Member & Community Engagement: Provide strategic guidance to members and represent North Star in industry and local events to strengthen relationships and lending opportunities
