Job summary

The Andersons, Inc. is offering a developmental rotational program in the Plant Nutrient group to learn all aspects of the agribusiness supply chain. You will rotate through core functions with the goal of transitioning into an entry level sales/commercial role within 8–12 months.

You will gain hands-on exposure to commercial product management, logistics, pricing, and customer relationships while building a foundation for a career in agribusiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or 1-3 years’ relevant experience required; Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture Business, Agriculture Communications, or related major strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Must be able to drive for the company according to the Company’s Vehicle Safety and Driver Qualification Policy.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of Plant Nutrient business and supply chain.
• Learn key components of building strategic relationships with customers.
• Gain a working knowledge of Plant Nutrient Group operations including but not limited to commercial product management and sales, logistics, major P&L components and financial reporting, and Farm Center sales and operations.
• Develop an understanding of pricing and margin throughout the fertilizer supply chain, from manufacturer to farmer.
• Learn and begin to apply fertilizer supply and demand fundamentals and understand fundamentals and logistics of global trade.
• Gain a base of understanding regarding local fertilizer markets, end use, service, and logistics in the Eastern corn belt.
