Qualifications

• Pursuit of a degree in Insurance, Agribusiness, Risk Management, Agricultural Economics, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Junior status preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize first notice of loss reports and support claim file setup.
• Assist with property damage investigations by gathering photos, estimates, inspection reports, invoices, and other documentation.
• Participate in claim evaluation activities, including policy coverage reviews and property damage assessments.
• Draft professional correspondence and collaborate with insureds, agents, contractors, vendors, and other business partners.
• Shadow experienced adjusters during field visits, inspections, or virtual assessments.
• Support reporting initiatives and process improvement projects related to property claims operations.
• Learn about agribusiness property risks, coverages, and claims-handling practices.
• Assist with payment requests, reserve reviews, and claim resolution activities.
• Support compliance, audit, and documentation requirements.
• Complete a capstone project and present recommendations to Agribusiness Claims leadership.
