Qualifications

• Commercial Lines underwriting experience
• Strong technical underwriting and risk selection
• Knowledge of commercial insurance coverages
• Experience working with independent insurance agencies
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Ability to evaluate complex commercial risks
• Comfortable with agency and account/site visits

Responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial agribusiness and farm-related accounts
• Evaluate risks, pricing, terms, conditions, and coverage
• Manage assigned book of business for profitable growth
• Develop and maintain independent agency relationships
• Conduct agency visits and develop new agency relationships
• Partner with Risk Control on account evaluations and site visits
• Monitor production, retention, profitability, and loss trends
• Identify opportunities to grow the commercial agribusiness book
• Balance technical underwriting with agency relationship management and business development
