Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial Lines Underwriting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related field and/or commensurate work experience.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record that conforms to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Underwrites and collaborates on new and renewal commercial lines accounts.
• Builds strong relationships with accounts.
• Participates in renewal strategy discussions with the Region Leader.
• Delivers quotes, negotiates with agents until the renewal order is received.
• Evaluates exposures to loss and determines pricing based on guidelines.
• Documents underwriting decisions per audit standards.
• Coordinates monthly renewal strategy discussions.
• Establishes communication with agents and internally.
• Notifies agencies of adverse underwriting decisions.
• Answers questions from agencies and escalates issues.
• Travels as needed to cover assigned territory.
