Job summary

SGS in United States (Washington) is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to conduct moisture, protein, oil, fiber and other analyses using wet chemistry and instrumental methods. You will maintain instrument conditions and ensure data integrity.

The role requires 1–3 years in a lab, a science degree, and proficiency with LIMS, Excel, and standard methods (ISO/AOAC). We offer health, 401(k), tuition reimbursement and paid time off. Salary range $19–$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field required.
• 1–3 years of lab experience required.
• Familiar with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025:1999 requirements.
• Strong knowledge of good laboratory practices.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Perform required testing on agriculture and food samples using standard methods.
• Record daily instrument conditions, maintenance, and calibrations.
• Adhere to SOPs and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Log in data into LIMS and Excel and review results for clients.
• Familiarize with QA procedures and participate in audits.
