Job summary

Universal Ingredients is seeking a Lab Technician in Grandview, WA. The role focuses on QA/QC testing across production and sampled products, reading microbiological results, calibrating equipment, and ensuring sanitation and cleanliness in the lab.

The candidate will operate HPLC and related lab instruments, perform data entry, and generate certificate of analysis for bulk shipments while supporting general testing requirements and trials as needed.

Qualifications

• Two or more years’ experience in the ingredient, beverage, or food processing industry.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of the lab equipment and the proper technique in running them.
• Ability to multi-task and handle several priorities at one time.
• Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials.
• Reliable, responsible, and organized.
• Able to lift 10+ lbs safely during a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC tests on products during production and in the lab.
• Read microbiological results, calibrate and clean lab equipment, verify sanitation.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab instrumentation including HPLC.
• Enter data daily and prepare certificates of analysis for shipments.
• Maintain clean, organized lab spaces and assist with trials and testing requirements.
