Job summary

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, conduct, and report sample analyses according to laboratory SOP for designated tests.
• Calibrate basic laboratory instrumentation according to laboratory SOP.
• Prepare samples and execute analysis with a high degree of accuracy to ensure quality results.
• Complete documentation including calibration logs, solution logs, scoop/bench sheets, reports of analysis and corrective action forms.
• Report results of analysis in a timely manner according to standard laboratory turn-times.
• Perform and monitor quality control checks for designated tests to ensure they fall within acceptable thresholds.
• Assess corrective action steps for failing or inconsistent QC checks and report to supervisor.
• Perform routine laboratory procedures such as media/solution preparation, cleaning of labware and spaces, and monitor inventory.
• Promote and adhere to safety in the workplace and use PPE as required.
• Follow safe work procedures and report unsafe conditions and injuries immediately.
• Inspect own work area and take approved remedial action to minimize hazards.
