Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking an Instructional Designer in Oakland, CA with a hybrid work arrangement and occasional travel to Davis, CA. The assignment lasts 4+ months and may involve remote candidates for out-of-station work.

Responsibilities include designing eLearning, ILT, and virtual training, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and producing materials like storyboards, guides, and assessments. Strong knowledge of Articulate Rise, PowerPoint, and Word is desired.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led training for technical, compliance, systems, or soft skills concepts.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define learning objectives, course structure, learning content and assessments.
• Complete detailed analysis of each task to be trained/supported for target audience, business process, and systems.
• Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including storyboards, eLearning modules, virtual learning, student and facilitator guides, activities, scenarios, assessments, or performance support.
• Visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions.
• Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.
• Participate in meetings with subject matter experts, including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings.
• Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation. Receive and incorporate feedback.
• Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables.
• Proactively communicate issues and risks.
