Job description

Agile Scrum Specialist Location: Remote

We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Specialist for a short-term assignment to assess our current Agile practices and define a scalable, structured framework to support bi-weekly sprint-based delivery across our technology teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a current-state assessment of Agile processes, team structure, sprint planning, and delivery practices.
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies across key areas including backlog prioritization, sprint planning, capacity management, release management, deployment, and communication practices.
  • Design a future-state Agile operating model tailored for bi-weekly sprint cycles.
  • Define best practices and templates for:
  • Sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Story point estimation and t-shirt sizing
  • Capacity and velocity tracking
  • Release and deployment coordination
  • Cross-functional stakeholder communication
  • Deliver a roadmap and execution plan for rolling out improvements, including quick wins and longer-term changes.
  • Facilitate workshops or coaching sessions with team members and leadership to support adoption.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience leading Agile transformations or coaching at the team or program level
  • Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Agile reporting dashboards
