Job summary

GrowFinancialFederal Credit Union is seeking an Agile Product Owner to own the Product Backlog and advocate for the customer. You will work within a cross-functional Scrum team to deliver high-value capabilities across Grow products, collaborating with sponsors, analysts, developers, designers and compliance to ensure requirements are met.

Ideal candidates bring CSPO/PSPO credentials, 3+ years on Scrum/Kanban teams, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• CSPO or PSPO certification required.
• Minimum 3 years on Scrum and/or Kanban teams.
• Minimum 1 year leading complex projects/tools.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized, methodical and detail oriented.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

The Agile Product Owner (APO) has the primary role to own and manage the Product Backlog, serve as the voice of the customer and work on a highly collaborative, cross-functional Scrum team required to support the credit union’s Vision. The APO is responsible for driving the development of highest value capabilities for all Grow products. Through the Agile methodology, closely collaborates with business product sponsors, business analysts, developers, designers, and other stakeholders such as business, legal/compliance, security, and operations to ensure that the detailed designs and features delivered by the Scrum meet the needs of all stakeholders. The APO is self-motivated, able to adjust to changing circumstances quickly and professionally and diplomatic with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or additional four years of experience in lieu of degree, required.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working on Scrum and/or Kanban teams required.
• Minimum 1 year experience leading systems/processes/tools for complex integrated organizational projects required.
• Must possess superior communication skills to ensure a successful partnership across all levels of the organization.
• Must be highly organized, methodical and detail oriented to effectively prioritize work.
• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Computer knowledge utilizing Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment

• This role is fully remote, with the option to work from our HQ or retail locations.
