Job description

Overview

The Agile Process Manager is a process leader of Agile teams enabling clear communication and organization in support of business goals. This position applies servant leadership style in helping teams understand and implement Agile practices. The Agile Process Manager uses a network of relationships to remove impediments, maximize flow of value, and promote continuous improvement.

What you will be doing
  1. Guide teams in low-complexity environments to understand and follow basic agile principles and techniques and/or software methodologies.
  2. Plan and facilitate meetings for the purpose of decision making, idea generation, planning, continuous improvement, problem solving, and alignment.
  3. Guide teams in self-organization, collaborating around goals and/or objectives, and optimizing flow of value.
  4. Ensure the identification and removal of impediments using a network of peer relationships and formal channels; effectively escalating when necessary.
  5. Collaborate and support other team level leaders on backlog management, team performance, and on the delivery of business value.
  6. Promote continuous improvement throughout the software development lifecycle, leveraging metrics to identify and drive intentional change.
  7. Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency.
  8. Reduce team distractions and outside interruptions.
  9. Participate and assist in leading continuous learning events.
  10. Identify and visualize dependencies impacting planned work.
  11. Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy.

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Experience as an Agile practitioner.
  3. First level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM).
  4. Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  5. Fluency in English language (reading, written and spoken).
  6. Strong collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas.
  7. Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact.
  8. Strong conflict management, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  9. Demonstrated ability to operate at the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and forthrightness.
  10. Demonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative, and compelling presentation methodologies.
  11. Sharp, fast learner with intrinsic curiosity.
  12. Strong business and technology acumen.
  13. Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and mobilize team members and business partners.
  14. Competence in team facilitation.
  15. Ability to utilize servant leader mindset - open-minded, listens, empathizes, influences without formal authority, thinks beyond day-to-day activities.
  16. Ability to teach software methodology concepts and apply practices in a context-sensitive manner.
  17. Must be a self-starter, facilitator, and negotiator.
  18. Up to 5% travel time required.
