Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking an IT Project Manager to design, develop, and oversee IT initiatives for a federal entity. You will lead project design, plan development, resource assessment, and management plan execution with strong Agile principles.

The role includes acting as the liaison for project information and delivering regular progress updates across teams. Ideal candidates have extensive Agile experience, leadership in multiple on‑time, on‑budget projects, and fluency with API, cloud/on‑prem

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, information systems or related field.
• 5 years of experience in project management.
• Leading IT projects and delivering on time and on budget in multiple initiatives.
• Experience with IT system design and development using Java/JavaScript.
• Knowledge of API management, RESTful APIs and cloud/on‑prem environments.
• Experience managing an Agile scrum team with DevOps and testing.
• Master’s degree or PM certification preferred.
• Experience with government interfaces and health/HHS domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope and schedule with regular delivery of value.
• Organize and lead project status and working meetings.
• Prepare and distribute progress reports to stakeholders.
• Manage risks and issues; correct deviations and plan delivery.
• Develop initiatives for business process improvements and monitoring.
• Lead the team in system implementation and maintenance decisions.
• Create and update documentation for testing and training management.
• Implement and champion agile governance and metrics for execution.
