Job summary

Power3 Solutions in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking an experienced Agile Developer - Microservices Developer to modernize a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies.

You will write Java Spring Boot microservices on AWS, build REST services, implement CI/CD with Maven, GitLab and GitOps, and contribute to an energetic, on-call capable team in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java Spring Boot microservices with AWS native tech.
• Experience designing REST services with Spring to filter and select complex data objects.
• Strong CI/CD experience using Maven, GitLab and GitOps.
• Experience working in Agile teams with effective collaboration.

Responsibilities

We arelooking for an experienced Agile Developer - Microservices Developer to join their rapidly growing team!

Ability to support an on-call rotation

Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies:

• Writing java spring boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
• Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
• Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
• Agile development and delivery of software
• Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI Poly - with CI poly within last 7 years
• BS + 6 years experience

Desired Skills (2 of the below)

• Java, Spring boot or python
• Microservice architectures
• CI/CD Tools: AWS tools, Maven, , Gitlab & GitOps; Kubernetes, docker
• Database : NoSQL / MongoDB Query and Schema Design
• OAuth/OIDC Implementation experience
• Test frameworks and automation to include Playwright and Cucumber

The projected compensation range for this position is $165K - $200K. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
