Job summary

NuAxis Innovations seeks an experienced Task Manager to lead IT development projects for federal government portals in Washington, DC. You will oversee scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk, guiding agile ceremonies and interfacing with government stakeholders to ensure delivery commitments.

The role requires 8+ years in IT project management and strong expertise in Agile/SAFe, Jira/Confluence, and reporting. Candidates with federal program management experience highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing IT development projects with government or enterprise task orders.
• Experience with formal deliverables, CDRLs, and reporting requirements.
• Working knowledge of Agile, Lean, and SAFe; able to lead ceremonies and coach teams.
• Strong risk, schedule, and financial management for labor-hour engagements.
• Proficiency with Jira/Confluence and Agile reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage task execution: work breakdown, staffing plan, schedule, dependencies and burn against labor-hour ceiling.
• Run Agile/SAFe ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and PI planning.
• Serve as primary delivery point of contact to government PM and product owner; manage expectations/escalations.
• Own risk and issue management: identification, mitigation planning, tracking, reporting.
• Ensure contract deliverables (PM plans, design docs, sprint reports, status reports) are produced on schedule and to quality standards.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies with platform, security, and EA organizations.
