Job description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Agile Coach to facilitate the adoption of agile practices and embed agile values and mindsets within a new digital asset exchange focused on an institutional client base.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience as an Agile Coach working with critical financial systems and globally distributed teams.

The candidate should be passionate about success, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrive on challenges and team improvement.

Experience with outcome-focused, cross-functional teams, capital markets technologies, and solutions is essential to drive product delivery.

Knowledge of the Scrum framework, including artifacts and techniques, is required. The ability to coordinate people and projects, facilitate change, and focus on deliverables is important. A collaborative attitude, strong communication skills, leadership qualities, and investment in Agile frameworks are expected.

Responsibilities

The Agile Coach will support the organization, teams, and individuals in adopting agile practices, embedding values, and significantly impacting development through coaching the Scrum process and utilizing available tools.

Key competencies include:

Supporting agile transformation, guiding teams through maturity growth, coaching on the 7 Key Scaled Agile competencies, contributing to SAFe curriculum, defining standards, creating playbooks for ceremonies like PI-Planning, daily stand-ups, and Portfolio Syncs.

  • Providing training and coaching on agile methodologies and SAFe adoption.
  • Ensuring consistency in agile practices and continuous improvement.
  • Sharing best practices organization-wide and making them accessible.
  • Using agile adoption metrics to evaluate performance and adherence.
  • Assessing agile maturity and delivery performance data.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of Agile processes, a relevant IT/Computer Science/Engineering degree, and at least 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience overseeing multiple development teams with overlapping projects and dependencies.
  • Deep knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts.
  • Certification as an Agile Coach or PAL.
  • Understanding of software development, testing, and analysis practices.
  • Knowledge of other Agile frameworks like LeSS, SoS, SAFe.
  • Familiarity with task and document management tools (JIRA, Trello, Confluence).
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent documentation and English language skills.

Additional technical understanding (preferred):

  • Experience in financial software development, ERP/financial systems analysis.
  • Experience with real-time trading systems and market data.
  • Experience working with regulated financial institutions.
  • Experience with multinational global teams.
