Job summary

HyerTek is hiring a Business Analyst/Scrum Master to support Agile delivery teams modernizing legacy applications onto Microsoft-centric platforms. You will own both requirements and Scrum cadence, translating mission needs into clear, testable work and ensuring the team has what it needs to deliver.

The role combines analysis and facilitation, including eliciting requirements, authoring user stories and acceptance criteria, maintaining the backlog, and running Scrum ceremonies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of combined BA/SM experience on application development teams.
• Experience eliciting, authoring, and refining requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria, specs).
• Experience authoring end-user documentation and SOPs shipped with software/web platforms.
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and backlog management in Azure DevOps.
• Comfort delivering training to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 stack (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
• Excellent writing, editing, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Active Secret security clearance with DoW or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies—planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives.
• Elicit requirements via interviews/workshops; author user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Refine backlog across sprints and ensure readiness two sprints ahead.
• Coordinate with Product Owners on prioritization and release planning.
• Maintain traceability between requirements and delivered functionality.
• Track velocity and remove impediments to sustain momentum.
• Coordinate dependencies and timelines across teams and stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into actionable technical requirements for Dev and QA.
• Author end-user and admin documentation shipped with releases.
• Design and deliver end-user training for federal audiences.
• Keep docs and training assets in sync with evolving features.
• Support UAT, defect triage, and go-live adoption activities.
• Lead with credibility and align cross-functional teams.
