Agile - Application Architect at Capgemini

Description

Looking for an Agile Application Architect to join us for a full‑time role in Troy, MI.

Key Responsibilities

• The Agile Application Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high‑performing application architectures in an Agile environment. This role involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams, defining technical standards, and ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise architecture principles.
• Define application architecture for enterprise and cloud‑based solutions.
• Ensure compliance with security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and design patterns.
• Work closely with Scrum teams to deliver incremental solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
• Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• Provide guidance on technology stack selection and best practices.
• Mentor development teams on architecture principles and coding standards.
• Drive modernization initiatives (microservices, API‑first design).
• Design APIs and integration strategies for enterprise systems.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for application hosting and services.
• Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to align architecture with business needs.
• Ensure technical feasibility and risk mitigation for new features.

Required Skills

• Experience: 8–12 years in application architecture and software development.
• Strong knowledge of Java/.NET, microservices, REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe). Understanding of iterative development and continuous delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Certifications: TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, SAFe Agile.
• Experience in enterprise‑scale digital transformation projects.
