Job summary

Silvi Materials in Belle Mead, NJ seeks a Quality Control Technician for aggregates to perform testing of in-process, raw, environmental, and finished materials to ensure quality at production, shipping, and job-site arrival.

You will document results, communicate with management, troubleshoot issues, calibrate equipment, inspect stockpiles, and monitor stockpile construction to minimize contamination; travel to various plants is required.

Qualifications

Industry experience is preferred but not required.
Travel with own vehicle to and from various plants and locations; mileage/tolls reimbursed.
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to undergo MVR check.
Willing to work outdoors in all weather for testing on site.

Responsibilities

Performs initial and ongoing testing of aggregates by conducting routine testing of in-process materials, raw materials, environmental samples, and finished materials to ensure quality control at production, shipping, and job-site arrival.
Document and report information promptly and accurately, interpreting, documenting, and storing results.
Communicate test results to manager and document them in a database.
Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications.
Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.
Inspect stockpiles, materials sources, and truckloads at plant sites.
Monitor the daily construction of the stockpile to minimize contamination and notify management if contamination is identified.
