Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Midwest Agg, Inc. is seeking a hands-on quality control technician to perform laboratory and field testing on raw materials and finished products. You will collect samples, analyze data, document results, and support improvements in product quality and processes.

The role requires the ability to work in lab and outdoor environments, with compliance to safety and reporting standards. A background in aggregates or construction materials is preferred, with certification

Qualifications

• Quality control or materials testing experience is preferred, particularly in aggregates, construction materials, mining, quarry, or a similar industrial setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and support continuous improvement.
• Ability to follow testing procedures, maintain records, prepare reports accurately, and communicate testing results effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Collect, prepare, and analyze samples in laboratory and field environments, including obtaining and handling material samples.
• Document and communicate test results accurately to support operational and quality objectives.
• Monitor production quality trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement related to product quality, processes, and operational efficiency.
• Partner closely with operations and shipping teams to coordinate sample collection and maintain product quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
