Job summary

Staker Parson Companies, a CRH company, seeks a skilled tester to manage sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, and asphalt materials. You will collect samples, set up and operate nuclear density gauges, ensure DOT specifications are followed, and report results to the lab supervisor.

The role requires accuracy, ability to drive a company vehicle, and adherence to safety and environmental standards. Some exposure to field conditions and occasional overtime may occur.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of QC experience preferred.
• Must be able to read and write simple correspondence.
• Able to perform measurements with basic math and units.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect samples for testing asphalt materials.
• Set up and operate nuclear density gauges for compaction testing.
• Follow state DOT specifications and testing procedures.
• Perform sampling, testing, and report results accurately.
• Maintain daily test records and submit to supervision.
• Follow MSHA & OSHA safety procedures and environmental rules.
