Job summary

Amrize North America is seeking a skilled laborer for a day shift at our aggregate plants. You’ll support production by using a range of tools and equipment, help install, repair and maintain machinery, and uphold strict safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School or GED, are willing to travel within the plant, work holidays and overtime, and perform routine maintenance. You’ll join a safety‑driven team building North America’s infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School/GED education required.
• Willingness to work holidays, weekends, varied shifts and overtime.
• Ability to use shovels and mechanical equipment to remove material, load and deliver materials.
• Strong commitment to safety and PPE protocols.

Responsibilities

• Uses a variety of tools and equipment to support production operations (shovels, brooms, bobcats, forklifts, levels, drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers).
• Aggregate plant skilled labor welder involved in installation, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of portable crushing equipment, conveyors and industrial machinery.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controllers.
• Maintain and complete welding repairs to crushing equipment; position machinery during installation, setup and repair.
• Operate machine tools such as drills and grinders to fabricate parts during overhaul or maintenance.
• Inspect and diagnose machinery for irregularities and malfunctions (troubleshooting).
• Perform routine maintenance: adjust, repair or replace parts; clean and lubricate machinery.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies and promote a culture of safety.
